About Me
My name is Kristen. I'm a Producer. I've worked in production for the past 10 years. From features to TV to videos to commercials, I've learned to be flexible, adaptable, calm, patient, and all the good stuff. This gives me the ability to handle projects of varying scopes... as long as there are snacks.
Recently, I've produced lots of branded marketing video materials that tell stories, interpret data, and empower consumers through the use of their product or service and so on. I've worked on podcasts, short form narratives, training and educational videos, animations, short form documentaries, campaigns, event videos, and commercials. With the help of talented teams of Cinematographers, Editors, and more, we've made some cool projects.
Over time, I've directed, written, developed, interviewed, prepped, shot, edited, and designed. I've learned what I can do, what I'm strong in, and (most importantly) how to work with others who are specialized. And lately, I've been working closely with writers and creatives on independent projects due to the insatiable need to create.
I love it all. Every aspect of producing media. Building the teams. Outlining the vision. Discussing ideas: the good, the bad, and the ugly. Developing scripts or projects, finding the best way to tell a story. Fine tuning the details. Figuring out how to solve challenges. Juggling budgets, contracts, timelines, and schedules. Finding a way to make it all happen under one goal and making it the best it can be within it's limits.
I love to learn from those around me and I love to teach others what I have learned. I love companies that make it their mission to help people in some way. I love finding a way to bring clarity, guidance, inspiration, and direction to others so they can focus on their work and thrive.
With a passion for collaboration with creative and technical talents alike, I hope to one day focus on telling stories that empower and motivate people. I believe in social change, personal growth, helping others, and leading people amongst so many other things. I believe that everyone has their own strengths and value that, once found, have a place in the world.
